Technical Analysis
If required it is possible to carry out various forms of technical analysis.
Paint samples can be taken and analysed in the Studio.
If additional information is required samples can be sent away for further analysis.
Other forms of technical analysis can also be arranged externally including:
infrared reflectography,
X-radiographphy,
dendrochronology
Additional charges are made for internal and external analysis. Please enquire for further details.
As with all documentation carried out by Sophie Brummitt Studio the client is supplied with a full report of all the technical analysis carried out. This is normally provided amalgamated into the full treatment report and provided once the conservation work has been carried out.
The Studio is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. Please ring or e mail the Studio for directions and to make an appointment prior to visiting.
The Studio is fully insured, secure and equipped to carry out a complete range of conservation treatments.
